Maker Market Expands to Include More DIY Activities, Kids Crafts, and Live Demos
The annual Indiemade Craft Market will take place on Saturday, December 1st from 10am – 5pm at the Starlite Ballroom at The Fearless Fire Co., 1221 S. Front Street, Allentown, PA. New owners Ron Morris and Ken Jones Jr. of Mercantile Home in Easton, PA have rebranded Indiemade Craft Market, now in its 11th year.
Along with a roster of over 40 artisan vendors, this year’s market will have expanded DIY activities, kids’ crafts, live instructional demonstrations and community art happening all day. Patrons can shop for an array of handmade items including jewelry, body products, stationery, toys, illustrated prints, woodwork, upcycled wearables and more. In addition to kicking off holiday shopping, attendees will enjoy a live DJ, holiday photo opportunities, community art projects by students of Cedar Crest College, live silk screening by sponsor The Bigfoot Press and resin mold making demonstrations by industry leader Smooth-On, Inc.
Of the many changes market patrons will experience, co-owner Ron Morris said, “This year we are excited to share our expanded Indie Maker Space. Indiemade is well known for its amazing group of vendors and top-notch holiday shopping, but this year we are keeping the creative vibe flowing all day long with lots of fun happenings. We’ll have live demonstrations, creative crafting activities for all ages, and surprise giveaways throughout the day sponsored by our friends at The Bigfoot Press, Smooth On, and SmARTivities Showcase. It’s going to be a wonderful, crafty kick off to the holiday season!”
Admission is $3, and free swag bags filled with items from market vendors will be handed out to the first 50 adult attendees. The venue features free on-site parking, as well as food, drink and alcoholic beverages available for purchase.
