The 1752 Apothecary Tour

How did the Moravians treat the infirm and ailing? What types of medical practices were established in early Bethlehem? To find out, join Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites for a special guided tour of the historic Moravian Apothecary!

Tour Dates:

March 3, March 4, March 10, March 11, March 17, March 18, March 24, March 25, and March 31

Let the Docent lead you through Bethlehem’s rich historic Main Street, from the Visitor Center, to the 1752 Apothecary, and ending at the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem. From site to site, you will explore at least two centuries of medical advancement in Bethlehem.Sites on the tour include:

  • 1752 Apothecary – Featuring collections original to the site and medicinal garden
  • Moravian Museum of Bethlehem, Gemeinhaus – The oldest standing building in Bethlehem and one of two National Historic Landmarks in the National Historic Landmark District of Historic Moravian Bethlehem

Tickets are available in person at the Historic Bethlehem Visitor Center & Museum Store or over the phone by calling 1-800-360-TOUR. The tour leaves promptly at 1 p.m. from the Visitor Center, located at 505 Main Street.
