Walking stroll introduces brides, grooms and families to more than 40 Easton wedding vendors.
There’s the cake, the venue, the flowers, the favors, the tuxes, the music and the gown. When it comes to planning a wedding, there are a ton of decisions to make and vendors to find. That’s why Easton businesses are coming together to make wedding planning a bit easier on brides, grooms and their families.
From noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, visitors can grab a passport in Centre Square and stroll through more than 40 participating shops and restaurants as part of the Downtown Easton Wedding Experience. Rather than a staid bridal expo, this event allows couples to meander through the city, meet vendors, see their work in their shops and ask questions.
“Wedding planning can be extremely daunting,” says Christina Galdieri, owner of Christina’s Bridal and a member of the Downtown Easton Wedding Experience committee. “With so many businesses based in Easton, it made sense to host one event to show all the products and spaces our local business owners offer.”
From discovering the perfect salon or bakery, to finding the DJ, or deciding on men’s formalwear or the honeymoon, the day is designed for guests to find all the vendors they need in one spot.
“Downtown Easton has a lot to offer for couples planning a wedding,” says Katie Antonson, owner of Lille Syster and a member of the Downtown Easton Wedding Experience committee. “From touring intimate venues like the wine cellars of Sette Luna and Bayou; to talking with florists and paper flower artists; finding custom favors and amazing photographers – you could literally plan your entire wedding in one day in Easton.”
From each vendor a participant visits, they’ll receive a ticket to enter into the prize raffle. Prizes include gift certificates from Easton area restaurants and businesses, a free engagement photo session and a free paper flower keepsake bouquet.
At 3 p.m., participants are encouraged to make their way back to Bank Street Annex to enter their raffle tickets before the prize drawing. Get stamps from all 10 anchor vendors of the Downtown Easton Wedding Experience (noted on the passport) and receive an extra 10 raffle tickets when you arrive at Bank Street Annex. Guests must be present to win.
Downtown Easton Wedding Experience is produced in partnership with Greater Easton Development Partnership and sponsored by: SPIN Radio 107.1 and 99.9 The Hawk.
The event will be held rain or shine. Find more information on Facebook at Downtown Easton Wedding Experience.
